Interview with Blazen

On the scene once again was former Motorball great, Demon 77. As usually, the petite redhead had more than enough to say.

Demon 77:
There is no easy way of describing what just happened out there. We though after you got this new Motor ball body, that you’d be more of a challenge. Gally seemed to tear through you like a hot knife through butter. Any comments? And do you feel she had you targeted for extermination, right from the start?

Blazen:
Blazen sits on a bench playing with a lock of her bright red hair...

"Eh...it all comes down to Gally just being the more experienced fighter... I got sloppy, and she kept catching me... I guess she probably had it in for me in this race after that little fiasco last time around. I mean.. I got my but stomped and still won the race...kinda silly..." she says, her finger becoming knotted into her hair..."OW..damnit...ummm...as for my new body...it had little to do with it... yeah...I’m a little faster and a bit more agile... but in the end it all comes down to who's got the mindset..." she tugs on her hair once more, trying to get her finger free. "Ow...DAMNIT!!!"

She leans over and pulls a rather large knife out of her duffel bag and hacks the tiny lock off

"Hehehe...ummm...oh yeah... umm.. I guess I just have to start watching my a$$ and stay one step ahead of myself..."

Demon 77:
*Taken back a bit, especially by the twirling of the hair, the reporter takes on a new line of questioning. *

Um... You're right.. Gally may have the mindset...

*Still obviously focusing on the hair twirling. *

You just don't seem to have the same killer instinct. And if that assumption is correct, what even brought you to this race? Motorball is all about violence, yet here in this interview, you hardly seem like the type to be violent.

Blazen:
"What ever makes you think THAT? " she asks, brandishing the knife and smiling to herself. "As far as killer instinct... I’m here to have fun... if I get roughed up...eh...so what?...besides...every time Gally kicks my butt I learn something new...someday maybe I’ll be able to give her a run for her money...until then.. I’m enjoying myself thoroughly..."

She fidgets with the lock of hair still knotted around her finger. Her tongue pokes out of the corner of her mouth.

"Bastard...anyways... I’ve done my fair share of the violent stuff...I don't hold grudges... so I’ll spend every race thinking about winning... not getting back at the guy who busted my original legs before I joined the league...he's far gone, and I’ve got more important things to think about...I mean... if my life is in danger.. Hells yeah I’m gonna slice the F***er up like a cat on crack... but I don't make it a point to kill people unless I have to..."

Demon 77:
Ok, Blazen...

I agree that having fun may be the best possible thing to motivate you on the track, but what's up between you and Gally?

I note the fact that you said you aren't one to hold grudges... but I don't imagine seeing you backing of any either. Do you have any strategies that you wish to try out next time around?

Blazen:
"Me and Gally?... we're in competition, silly... No I don't hold grudges...doesn't mean I won't give someone a swift kick in the a$$ if they give me hard time the race before...I just don't let that kind of stuff distract me...I’d rather think about taking the lead... but having a rival is fun... I don't hate Gally for trying to dismember me..."she stops a moment and taps her index finger against her chin, wrinkling her nose..."now that I say it like that...it DOES sound a bit ludicrous...but either way...I'll continue to fight Gally, and at the very least respect her as a fighter... I don't know her all that well, but she seems pretty cool...maybe I’ll pick up a thing or two from our little scuffles...other that a hefty repair bill...."

Demon 77:
Speaking of sponsors... Who's backing you?

I don't mean to sound rude, but with the repair bills that you have been racking up, they have definitely got to have a considerable amount of money.

Blazen:
Blazen...reaches behind the bench she's sitting on and pulls out a small coffin shaped case...

"Some old fiends...err...friends..." she pops open the case and pulls out a translucent red guitar with lots of points on it..." B.C. Rich guitars..."she holds up the guitar and smiles mischievously. (OOC for those of you familiar with BC rich guitars... it's a "Beast" model...and yes I know that the beast model doesn't fit in the coffin shaped cases...but let me have my fantasies...) " I get free toys!!!"

Demon 77:
Boy... if that wasn't a plug for your sponsors, I don't know what is.

*After a brief smile and a few laughs, he continues. *

So, do you play guitar?

Blazen:
She plugs the guitar into a small amp at her feet and steps on the distortion. She begins play softly, but builds a speedy lead riff, double finger tapping up and down the neck...

"Why do you think they sponsor me?"

Demon 77:
Gee... I don't know... your looks may have played a part in it...

*Obviously joking, he stops before he comes to meet the sharp end of Blazen's knife. *

So... and thoughts that you could share with us as to your future in Motorball?

Blazen:
"Hmmm" she says to herself, pulling a novelty "magic 8 ball out of her duffel bag..." the eight ball says it foresees much @ss kicking... although it doesn't specify who's doing the kicking..."

Demon 77:
Do you mean to tell me that you actually believe those magic 8 balls?

Blazen:
Blazen only lobs the ball. It strikes the reporter square in the head and makes a rather comedic sound like someone bowling a strike...

"FOOL!" she yells... "You dare question the mighty 8 Ball?"
Interview with Shinju

With the lead that he had, Shinju’s victory seemed in the bag. But, Gally tore from behind and managed to incapacitate Shinju long enough so that she could claim victory. We caught up with Shinju after the race, and this is what he had to say.

Demon 77:
You really put up a valiant showing, much reminiscent of Blazen’s first race. You took off to an enormous lead. What was going through your mind and Gally was closing in on you?

Shinju:
Well this is what I thought. I new it would be hard fighting my first robot but also natural beats artificial. But in that match natural lost.

Demon 77:
You took a horrific beating by Gally... how is your recovery looking?

Shinju:
(Unfortunately, we were unable to gain commentary on this question.)
Interview with Gally

Well, here she is… The Champion of the 2nd Motorball race. As before, Blazen made a guest appearance.

Demon 77:
Well... You just won your first fight. How does it feel?

Gally:
Gally smiles. "It feels pretty good. I feel a little sorry for Blazen, who tries really hard... but after all, there can only be one winner. She had her turn, so this time it was my turn."

Demon 77:
We noticed a definite change in the way that you were racing this time around. Did something happen to you between this race and the last one? I mean... You definitely gave our audience a display of blood that none had ever seen before. You seemed like a completely different person out there.

Gally:
Gally raises her eyebrows, scratching her nose. "Well... uh, I guess I was just more serious this time. Last time I was more laid back, you know, but this time I was really out for blood. It started with me wanting to get even with Blazen for the last race... and I guess from there it just got out of hand."

Gally runs her fingers through her hair. "But I don't regret what happened... motorball is a violent sport, and if you wanna race you gotta be prepared for that. I'm just giving the spectators what they want... a show."

Blazen:
Blazen appears from out of nowhere, playfully tackling Gally (or attempting to anyways).

"Payback eh?... y'know ya shouldn't hold grudges...they'll give you wrinkles... " She says, smiling and poking Gally in the ribs. "Of course...we don't age..." she says, tapping her forefinger against her chin in thought (OOC: Blazen... THINKING? EGAD!!!)..."Anyways...just dropped by to say Congrats..."
Interview with Jezko

We managed to catch a glimpse of this new recruit. She will be making her debut appearance on the 3rd Motorball race. Don’t miss it!

Demon 77:
I realize you weren’t in this race, but we saw you in the stands. Rumor has it that you will be participating in the next race. After seeing this display of carnage, what are your thoughts/concerns for your upcoming race debut?

Jezko:
Obviously on her way out of the Motorball arena, Jezko's eyebrows perk a bit above half-closed purple eyes, watching her interviewer, curious, if not confused. The people around her push and shove to get around her as she stops, she not noticing, and not budged... a slight, startled blush immediately colors the areas under her eyes, obviously put on the spot. She thinks for a few moments, her sudden burst of shyness faded with her blushing, and shrugs, unconcerned, hands in the pockets of her dark green jacket.
"I just hope they're ready..."
Before returning to the flow of the crowd, easily blending into the faceless group of people, and gone from sight.
Fresh Meat

We’ve managed to get two new recruits for the next race. Here’s a brief look at them…

Jezko:
Her "cute" image long gone along with her given name, Jezko's appearance is drastically altered. Her once long, light brown hair is cropped short is softly curled layers around her face, her usually large green-blue eyes smaller and more angular, and have taken on a notably purple tinge. She is now taller (about 5"2), and her tail is gone, as her frame is thinner and more balanced.

Jezko's armour, while seemingly black under the harsh lights of the arena, it glints an extremely dark blue, much like the exoskeletons of some kinds of insects. Her armour sports her number--21--and her feet are uplifted by a wheel at the heel and the toe. There is a high collar as to protect her throat.

Telk:
Standing at 6 feet exactly, Telk was designed to be the picture of masculinity. Unlike other androids, Telk's face and body is covered in a rippling silver metal of sorts, instead of anything resembling skin. Clothes are seemingly not an option, although his form is rather modest. (*Snicker*) His eyes are filled with a bright blue light, so he has no pupils or anything. They serve him as a basic scanner, nothing more.
