Ok race fans... this is the first installment on the Motorball Newsletter. We got some interviews for you as well as a sneak peak at the up and coming second race.
Interview with Blazen:

Approaching Blazen, Demon 77 (an old racer himself), led off with a line of questioning...

Unfortunately, Blazen was undergoing some reconstructive surgery after her first motorball match. We were fortunate enough to talk to her coach however in the pit. And even Gally stopped by for a bit...

***Ok first question that I have for you... What in the world possessed you to enter a participant that isn't a complete cyborg? This sport is the most brutal that I know, and I can't think of anyone that would even think about entering while still human.

***The coach sighs and wipes sweat of his brow.

"The damned kid doesn't listen to reason... but with all the internal bleeding she suffered, she has no choice but to undergo a transition to complete synthetics...a completely cybernetic body is waiting for her at the sponsor's training facility."

As Blazen is pushed by on a gurney, she shouts at her coach

" AND THE ARMOUR BETTER BE RED, WALTER... ya hear me.. FLAME RED!!! not that icky green color..."

the coach shudders and groans...

"Yeah yeah." he responds..." with the number 138... I know I know..." he shifts to as mumble.."damn kid...worse than her brother..."

"I HEARD THAT , WALTER!!!"

***The announcer turns to the coach with almost a look of astonishment.*

Blazen has a brother? Does he race on this circuit?

***"Her brother raced in the second league a few years back...he was in an unfortunate accident though...caused by an experimental drug that was administered to him without his knowledge."

***I sure hope those drugs haven't managed to make their way into your possession. I ain't pointing the finger, but I know from experience that in the long run they are bad news.

So... in your opinion, how do you think Blazen's race went today? Was she in peak performance? After all, Gally dealt her quite a few damaging blows.

***"well" says the coach.." Blazen was pissed off when I recommended she under go the surgery for total synthetics... She despises the idea of acceleration drugs because of what they did to her brother. We'll be running tests before every race to make sure her body hasn't been tampered with. As for her performance... I saw it coming... she doesn't LISTEN very well... she said she had to give her real body a try. She got lucky... Gally could have taken her apart."

"I HEARD THAT !!!" Blazen yells from her gurney, then coughing up a little blood.

"GOOD!...anyways... her technique is rough, and with a human body as heavily armored as she was, it's no wonder Gally had such an easy time pummeling her. Once we have her new body in commission, she'll hopefully be able to move a lot faster. We're not hoping for instant champion, but a significant improvement in expected."

***I don't doubt that all that armor hampered her performance. But it would be hard to imagine Blazen being any faster than what she had already shown us here today. Her speed was incredible.

One thing that still boggles my mind... What in the world ever possessed Blazen to stop and wait for Gally?

***"Because Blazen detested the idea of acceleration drugs, she agreed to have an enhanced nerve path installed in her body. It allows her to move quicker than most humans, but it also puts incredible strain on her muscles. That won't be a problem with her new body, which has been outfitted with a similar nerve technology. But the machine body will stand up to the abuse a lot more."
He sighs and grunts, clearing his throat.
"And as for Gally...Blazen likes to do things the hard way...to her, it's not a victory unless there's a challenge to it. So she waited...Had it been that Akuma fella right behind her she would have fought him too. But I think that part of it was that she just wanted to fight Gally...Kid lives for the sport and gets off on every fight. She ignored me the whole time she was fighting..."

"I wasn't ignoring you Walter, I had my headset turned off..." Blazen says as she's loaded into a medical transport.

***Do you think Blazen will be even more of a daredevil with her new body?

***"Oh god if she does... I'm gonna need a new heart... the kid is reckless... she'd rather be satisfied that she lost to someone much better, than win a race out of luck...I admire the kid's sense of honor...but she needs to realize she has limits..."

***If that's the case, do you expect a short-lived career from the rookie that amazed so many here today?

***"I really dunno what to expect from her anymore...just when I think she's finally going to start listening to me... she up and does something stupid..." he sighs and scratches his head. "Tell ya this though. the kid doesn't give up to easy...."

Interview with Gally:

As before, Demon 77 was on the scene with the questions...

***Well... you have quite a few fans on the motorball circuit and have quite some renown. What sort of thoughts were running through your head as the Rookie, Blazen, took off which such a tremendous lead? Also, what was your attitude towards Blazen stopping to wait for you?

***"I didn't mind when the rookie was ahead. I thought I could catch up to her, but she's very fast. So I was glad when she stopped to wait for me, because it meant I had an opportunity to get the motorball."

"For awhile, I had it... it was just bad luck that it slipped out of my hands and into hers. Although I lost the race, the combat was a victory for me, so I'm satisfied with that."

***In addition to speaking with you, I've also interviewed Blazen's coach. It seems that she wasn't entirely cybernetic. Does the fact that she's getting completely redone with a cyber-body affect you in any way? Do you think she will be a much better challenge for you?

***"Well..." Gally scratches her nose. "If she is getting increased strength and speed, of course that will help, but... it won't effect the fight too much. Panzer Kunst is called the armored arts because it is designed to take out other cyborgs. Whatever armor she is wearing won't make any difference, because the technique of Panzer Kunst bypass the armor and damage from within."

"She's already got plenty of speed, now all she needs is experience. That's my opinion."

***Well... I know that Blazen is ready, but how do you feel? Are you ready for a rematch?

***Gally smiles confidently. "I'm ready anytime!"
Interview with Akuma:

Unfortunately, Akuma was no where to be found after the race.
The up-coming race:

Racers be warned! New traps and obstacles line this track. From what we hear, this track actually splits in two! Will this make it easier on the participants? No one knows... not until the race begins.

The race will be the same set-up as before, and consist of 24 sections. But don’t be fooled, the entire track has been torn down and remodeled.

The race should begin during the week of August 19th - 25th.
