Fighter's Personality-
For being The Angel of Death, Sayorin is a surprisingly sweet person. Unless she's answering "The Call", she refuses to kill anything with one notable exception. She's completely merciful and willing to give even the cruelest person a second chance. Don't take her sweet demeanor to mean she's a ditz. She's actually quite bright and perceptive. The only exception to this are the undead and necromancers. Sayorin utterly despises those who would pervert life and death with the plague of undeath. This is the only time where one can see her truly angry.
Fighter's Overall Fighting Style-
-Swordswoman
-Holy Energy
-Unholy Energy
Fighter's Equipment-
Hitomi-The Sword of Judgement- This sword looks like a longsword with various writings in different languages written on it's blade. The language the words are written in shift every few seconds and can actually appear to be in different languages for different people but they always say the same thing no matter what language it's in. Namely "Death". During "The Call" the sword has the name of the one who Sayorin is being called to instead of "Death" written on it. The sword is directly connected to Sayorin and many believe that it's an actual manifestation of her soul. Hitomi can cleave through just about anything and it lets loose a horrifying scream as she wields it. During "The Call" touching Hitomi is just like touching Sayorin herself.
Sayorin's Necklace- Around her neck, Sayorin wears a necklace which has a cross with a pair of wings extending from behind it. Nobody, including Sayorin knows what it is but Sayorin values it greatly and there is a definate feel of something to it although she can't place what it is.
Abilities, Powers, and Skills-
Swordswoman- Sayorin has existed for a very long time and she's weilding Hitomi throughout all of it. She's actually far less skilled than one would expect considering how long she's had Hitomi but when you think of how powerful she is, her lack of interest in killing, and the fact that most of her fighting was during "The Call" you realize why she's never really mastered the sword.
Powers of Heaven and Hell- Sayorin is The Angel of Death who brings people to the time of final judgement. This means that she draws upon the powers of both Heaven and Hell in her duties. In her view there is no such thing as one who is neutral. Everyone is either good or evil. She personally believes in the cause of good and would be happy if everyone was so although she knows that will never happen. The powers of Heaven and Hell take many forms. Some more notable ones include-
Hellfire- The fires of Hell burn not only the body but also the soul. This is a very destructive power that Sayorin has fine control over. From conventional fireballs to nets crafted from Hell's flame, Sayorin can be very creative with the stuff.
Horrorfrost- From the lowest layer of Hell where everything is bathed in eternal ice, Sayorin can call upon cold that can torment the soul.
Creatures immune to fire and ice might be more resistant to the physical aspects of Hellfire and Horrorfrost but the soul damaging aspect and unholy nature of them means even those can be hurt by it. Also note that demons and devils ARE NOT immune to Hellfire and Horrorfrost. Indeed, these forces exist to punish such creatures for eternity and as such are fully effective against them.
Holy Lightning- From the heavens, Sayorin can call upon the power of lightning. Like Hellfire and Horrorfrost, Sayorin is fully capable of shaping the lightning into many forms.
Fire of Purity- In many ways this fire resembles Hellfire. There are differences though. Where Hellfire consumes and torments the soul, the Fire of Purity heals and purges diseases and poisons. But the price of this healing is immense physical pain and also pain of the soul as it forces one to recall the deeds that most hurt others and feel what those others felt. This fire consumes rather than heals the undead which makes it a favorite of Sayorin's when facing such creatures.
Death Sense- Sayorin can feel one's life force and where one lies in relation to life and death. She can tell if a perfectly healthy person is about to die or if someone with a fatal disease will ultimately survive a long time. This isn't a feel for health but rather a feel for when Death is going to call for the person.
Kiss of Death- Not really something of combat value. Sayorin can kiss someone who's nearing the end of their life to make their death quick and painless. It's a gift of mercy.
Invisibility- Sayorin can turn invisible. In fact this is her normal state. Pretty much how creatures like angels and demons roam around on the mortal plane without being noticed.
Death- This power is only available during "The Call". The one who Sayorin is being called will die if Sayorin touches them or if they touch Sayorin. Just the slightest brush of contact will cause them to die instantly. Note that Sayorin's clothes are safe to touch. Just not Sayorin herself.
Special notes-
The Call- This is when Sayorin is called to bring someone to the final judgement. She has no control over when this is going to happen and can't refuse it. During this time she is very dangerous although she'll ONLY kill the one she's been called to and her personality is intact during this period(she doesn't become an emotionless killing machine).
Sendaki- This is a little fairy like creature that travels with Sayorin. They've always traveled together and neither can imagine being without the other. Sendaki doesn't seem to have any powers other than flying and turning invisible. She's got something of a mouth and tends to be rather insulting to anyone she doesn't like(which is 99.9999999% of people other than Sayorin). To those she does like though she's the soul of kindness.
Background-
Sayorin is The Angel of Death. Depending on the culture and religion she is called many things. One of the more famous ones is one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse which rather amuses her as she doesn't even know how to ride a horse. She's been the Angel of Death since the beginning and her job has had a definite effect on her personality. For one thing she finds mortals and the fact that they have free will a truly wonderful thing. Since she must always obey "The Call" without exception she understands better than most what a gift choice is. Over the millennia she has brought about the deaths of more people than she can remember(she receives "The Call" about once or twice a year on average). She cries for each person who dies at her touch but also understands the necessity of it. When she's not answering "The Call" she tends to roam among mortals and try and make friends. She doesn't really bother hiding what she is as she knows full well that when she answers "The Call" they'll find out anyways, assuming her sword doesn't give her away first.
